Teaching dogs to organise their body by
leading them through a series of poles laid on the ground, over different textures such as
matting, wooden boards or raised surfaces such as a low level walk over board helps to
improve co-ordination and focus. It encourages function of the brain and is excellent for
providing necessary mental stimulation without over exciting the dog. Even the most hyper
of dogs settle and seem to mature with these simple exercises and it is perfect for dogs
that cannot be walked for long distances or allowed to run off lead to burn off excessive
energy. By improving self-carriage the dogs learn greater self control and
self-confidence.
The Walk Over Board
| The walk over board is a brilliant step to
teaching a dog to use a car ramp. It is also useful for helping to improve confidence and
to teach a dog to settle on a grooming or vets table. |
The Teeter Totter
The teeter totter is useful
for dogs that are nervous when travelling in cars - it also helps to improve balance |
TTouch Harness and a
Training Lead

Pulling on the lead has a detrimental effect
on the posture of a dog

Using a TTouch harness and a
training lead attached to two points of contact can have an instant and positive influence
on the posture reducing stress and tension. |
